Join the Amazing Race - SFU’s 50th Anniversary Edition

In celebration of #SFU50, we're hosting a scavenger hunt across the Burnaby campus on Tuesday, March 8! Find yourself a team of 3–5, decide on a team name, then have each of your teammates sign up at at.sfu.ca/uYIrUn while spaces last. At the end of this two-hour hunt, the teams that rack up the most points will win $500 (first place), $250 (second and third place teams).

Career workshops designed for where you're at

If you have 0-60 units - HEADSTART

Designed for students with fewer than 60 units, the Headstart Program is your time to reflect, assess, and explore what you could be doing now to make the most of your SFU experience while looking ahead to the future. We guide you through a process to help you gain clarity, identify possibilities you might want to pursue and to intentionally select activities you can do right away in pursuit of those opportunities. The earlier you start the better so why not start now and give yourself a "head start" on your life after university. More details at sfu.ca/career/headstart.

If you have 60+ units - CLASSROOM TO CAREER

Register for our popular Classroom to Career series and set yourself up for success. We guide you through the key steps of launching your career - from gaining clarity on the types of opportunities you might want to pursue, to being more impactful in your resumes, cover letters and interviews. Discover how to leverage LinkedIn and learn innovative approaches to work search that can help you find a job faster. More details at sfu.ca/career/c2c.

Are you our next #SFU50 jacket winner?

Until March 2016, we're giving away #SFU50 jackets, hoodies and sweatshirts to students who share photos or video using #SFU50 + (@SFU on Twitter, @simonfraseru on Instagram). Photos should represent SFU, SFU's 50th Anniversary, the student life or SFU around the world. A new winner is selected every two weeks. You can also submit your photo directly to our contest page: sfu.ca/50/engage-sfu50.html.
