I'm passionate about sustainability, climate action, housing, and health. I'm passionate about social equity, systems, and addressing societal barriers. I'm passionate about art, media, and self-expression. And what ignites my passion even more is when I get to talk to like-minded people who share the same passions as me. People who come from a wide swath of experiences, challenges, and struggles - that's inspiring.
How he's a changemaker
Am I making a change? To be perfectly honest, I have no idea. I'm just a second-year Geography student currently doing a bunch of work on campus with Residences, Recreation, Out on Campus, and my student union. But even though I might not know where I want to work, what I want to do, or what field I want to go into, I do know what I'm passionate about. I started going to events and conferences where people would share their life experiences. I then started to organize events, participate in a variety of programs, and meet all sorts of interesting people.
How can others get involved?
Want to make change, but not sure what you're passionate about or where to start? That's okay! Step out of your comfort zone and you might just be pleasantly surprised. Try programs like Semester in Dialogue, for instance.
