Approved Grade 12 courses

Grades in these courses are used to evaluate admission for BC high school students.

  • English 12, English 12 First Peoples, or Francais langue premiere 12.
    NOTE: Students must write the English 12 or English 12 First Peoples provincial exam and achieve a minimum final blended grade of 70%.

A minimum of five additional approved grade 12 courses:

  • German 12
  • History 12
  • Instrumental Music 12*
  • Japanese 12
  • Law 12
  • Mandarin 12
  • Philosophy 12 (4 cr)
  • Pre-Calculus 12
  • Physics 12
  • Punjabi 12
  • Social Justice 12
  • Spanish 12
  • Studio Arts 12*

*Arts Education courses may only be used for admission to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the School of Communication, and the School of Contemporary Arts.

 

All AP and IB (SL and HL) courses may be used as approved grade 12 courses.
