Process for a CRRA Criminal Record Check
- Print and fill out the SFU CRRA Criminal Record Check Consent form.
- Bring the completed form to the Registrar and Information Services front counter at the Burnaby, Vancouver or Surrey campus locations. For front counter hours see www.sfu.ca/students/contact.
- Bring an appropriate method of payment for the 28 dollar fee required by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, and two pieces of identification, one of which must be government-issued photo identification.
- Collect your receipt for the Ministry required fee.
If there is no determination of risk: you will automatically be forwarded an electronic copy of your clearance letter. The Criminal Records Check is valid for 5 years unless there is a break in studies at SFU.
If there is a determination of risk: you will receive a letter through registered mail from the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General providing you with information about the adjudication process. As well, you will be contacted by Student Services with information regarding the options that are available to you.
