Summer term deadlines

Summer term starts May 11, 2015; last day of exams is August 21.

Enrollment appointments begin online March 9; open enrollment begins March 30 at 8:30 am.

Classes: add/swap/change tutorial

May 15 (Friday) Last day to add classes, swap classes, change tutorials using the Student Information System
May 25 (Monday) Last day to enroll for class challenge or switch your challenge from one class to another or regular enrollment in a class, with permission of the department. (You can’t withdraw from class challenge without substituting a regular class.)
June 1 (Monday)
Last day to add classes through the department, with permission of the chair and instructor. Last day to change tutorials through the department. Last day to change a class to audit status.

May 15 (Friday) Last day to completely withdraw from all classes with no notation on your academic record.
May 25 (Monday) Last day to drop a class using the Student Information System, without a withdrawal notation of “WD” for the course on your academic record. If withdrawing from all classes, a withdrawal notation of “Withdrew YYYY-MM-DD” will be added to your academic record. 
 June 15 (Monday)
Last day to drop a class using the Student Information System, with a withdrawal notation (WD) on your academic record.
August 10 (Monday) Last day to apply to drop classes in the current term under extenuating circumstances (WE). (Applications received after this date will be considered retroactive and may take longer to process.)

Fees: payment and refunds/penalties

Payment
May 25 (Monday) Deadline to pay tuition and student fees for any combination of Summer term, Summer session, and Intersession. A 2% late fee penalty will be assessed after the due date and on the first of each month thereafter.
June 29 (Monday) Deadline to pay Co-op Practicum fees.

Refunds/penalties
April 3 (Friday) Last day for 100% refund of tuition.
April 4 (Saturday) to May 15 (Friday) Tuition penalty of $50 for each class dropped (maximum total penalty $100) during this period, if your net course load has decreased.
May 16 (Saturday) to May 25 (Monday) Tuition penalty of $100 for each class dropped during this period, if your net course load has decreased.
May 26 (Tuesday) No refund for courses dropped. A tuition drop penalty will be calculated and posted to your student account in the third week of classes. View your student account  after May 27 for your outstanding balance. A 2% late fee penalty will be assessed after tuition deadline and on the first of each month thereafter.
June 26 (Friday) after 10:00 am If you have not enrolled in direct deposit, refund cheques requested for overpayment (which are not related to scholarships and bursaries*) are available for pickup at Burnaby campus, unless payment has been made by personal cheque (which requires a 45 day clearance period).
