SFU Thrive Week

Join us from January 28 to February 1 as we celebrate Thrive Week with a series of events geared to support your mental and physical health.

Thrive Week is about taking action to create positive well-being at SFU and beyond. It's about making SPACE for well-being through social connection, physical health, awareness, contribution, and emotional health. It's about continuing the conversation around mental health on #BellLetsTalk Day, learning about resources on campus, and changing our perceptions as a community.

Mindful Monday

Gentle yoga open to all SFU students, faculty, and staff. Stretch, breathe, and relax with us.

Are you new to Canada? Join other students here at SFU and chat about your experience. For Thrive week, we talk about leadership style.

2:00pm to 4:00pm - Learn to Knit with Creative Collective

Take a break and learn to knit at your own pace. Drop-in event, no experience necessary. All supplies provided.

3:30pm to 4:30pm - Thrive at Fitmix

Try a free beginners fitness class offered weekly with the Health Peers!

We'll have thank you cards, DIY gratitude lists, and a giant canvas so you can share messages of gratitude around SFU.

5:00pm to 8:30pm - Community Cooking Workshop @ the Women's Centre

Please register in advance. Join Health Peers for a lesson on making easy and nutritious recipes for healthy eating. Have fun, make friends, and eat!

Free drop-in workshop for all SFU students.

Bring your favourite snacks! For Thrive Week we practice eating and drinking mindfully along with some de-stress activities.
