Zunaira Digital Specialist at CIBC

Zunaira is a Digital Specialist at CIBC. She has an MBA in Banking & Finance and has multiple years of experience in Finance industry in various roles in different countries. She coaches a large group of teammates and clients on Digital Platforms and implements strategies to promote the future of banking at her organization. An immigrant to Canada herself, Zunaira believes strongly in the process of continuous education to keep up with the changing world around us. She loves to help people who want to build a career and flourish in this industry.

Sharif Mamun | Intermediate Software Developer at PNI Digital Media Ltd.

Sharif has over 3 years of experience using C/C++, C#, Java, Python, PHP, JavaScript, ASP.NET, etc. and over 3 years of research experience in Bioinformatics. He has a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, solved 100+ problems in UVA online judge and Hacker Rank. He loves to meet new people, learn new technologies, and attending tech conferences. Sharif recently attended Polygot UnConference, PyCon 2016, PyCon 2015.

Wenguang Xu | Software Engineer at SAP

Wenguang Xu is a software engineer who is currently working in the predictive team of SAP. He’s mainly focusing on natural language processing, AI and full stack web development. He also has experience working in industry leading game studios on AR and mobile projects. He and his team won 2nd place at the Electronic Arts Hackathon in February 2014.

Sonya Sandhu | Senior Corporate Recruiter & Talent Acquisition at Rogers Communications.

A veteran at Rogers Vommunications with more than 13 years of experience, Sonia is the Senior Corporate Recruiter for the BC team. She held roles in sales and human resources before her transition into the recruitment team. Sonya is pleased to share her experience in candidate selection and how a candidate should prepare to get hired.

Thi Thuy Dung (Julie) Nguyen | International Career Projects Support

Julie is currently a 4th-year BBA Candidate at SFU Beedie School of Business, concentrating in Human Resources Management and International Business. Before working at the Global Student Center, she was a Senior Career Peer Educator at SFU Career and Volunteer Services, helping students with their on-campus job search as well as resumes and cover letters. Julie is passionate about helping others, especially international students. Being an international student herself, she always thrives to assist those who study abroad to familiarize with Canada’s work and study environment.
