We’re ready to welcome you to our community and for you to get to know more of your SFU!
Get to know the SFU community in person and meet other new students starting their journey with you this September. You'll have opportunities to engage with faculty representatives at our fair, where they can tell you more about the programs you're interested in, and check out the student showcase to see what current SFU students are doing. You'll also be introduced to various services and resources across our three campuses, that will help support you throughout your studies.

This event is for admitted students who will be doing their first year of studies at SFU Surrey or joining SFU Surrey-based undergraduate programs. However, students in all programs are welcome to attend!

What can I expect at the event?
Get a taste of the SFU student experience by connecting with members of the community:
- Meet representatives from your faculty who can talk to you about the undergraduate programs you’re interested in
- Learn about future career and job opportunities that an SFU degree can bring you
- Meet representatives from university units and how they can support your academic success and student needs throughout your studies
- Hear current SFU students share their experiences with student life and being part of the SFU community
Who's invited?
All students who have received an offer of admission from SFU, whether or not you've already accepted the offer, plus your family members, guardians, and friends as your guests.

The SFU Surrey event will have a focus on Surrey specific programs, such as: Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Interactive Arts and Technology, Mechatronics Systems Engineering, Software Systems, Sustainable Energy Engineering, and first year Surrey programs like FASS ONE.

Event FAQs
Do I need to stay for the whole event?
You're encouraged to take a tour, chat with your faculty's representatives at the fair and explore other program offerings, and attend faculty presentations.
Where can I find free parking?
SFU Burnaby
We recommend parking in North or East Lots, which will be free for the duration of the event. You can download a map of campus, including parking lots and directions, from Parking & Sustainable Mobility.
SFU Surrey
You can park in the Surrey Central City Mall parkade, on level P3 and the rooftop right outside SFU Surrey. FREE event parking is available between 3:30 - 8:30 pm. Please note that if you park anywhere else in the parkade (e.g. by T&T or Walmart), you may be ticketed after 3 hours.
I have accessibility needs. Will you be able to accommodate me at the events?
Yes! Please contact sra_event@sfu.ca to arrange accommodation for your needs.
I have a question about my SFU application or admission offer. Where can I go to speak to someone?
If you have a question prior to the event, please connect with us on the Ask A Question form and an SFU representative will be in touch with you. At the event, visit the Admissions table at the fair for support!
Can I accept my admission offer at this event?
You certainly can!
SFU Burnaby
Head to the Admissions area on the east side of Blusson Hall, where a member of our team would be happy to assist you.
SFU Surrey
Head to the Registrar and Information Services (RIS) front desk at the Mezzanine, where you can pay your tuition deposit. The RIS front desk will be open until 8:00 pm.
Join us online to learn about the SFU student experience from different members of the SFU community. We'll be joined by guest speakers from various services across the University and a panel of current students, who will be happy to share their personal experiences and insight into student life. We encourage you to bring any questions you might have.
Who's invited?
Students who have received an offer of admission from SFU and are unable to attend our in-person events at SFU Burnaby and SFU Surrey.
We'll soon be visiting selected cities around the world. Come meet SFU representatives at in-person events in a city near you, to learn what it's like to live and study in Vancouver, Canada, gain a world-class education from SFU, and discover the different paths an SFU degree can take you.
Who's invited?
Anyone interested in joining the SFU community is welcome—students who have received offers of admission from SFU, graduating students who have submitted their university applications, high school students considering their future university options, and of course parents and guardians wanting to support students on their educational journey.
