Attend one of our Next Steps Information Sessions in person or online. Have your questions answered, connect with faculty, staff and current students, and start preparing for life at SFU.
Complete this free online course to help you transition to SFU and prepare for academic success. This course will take you step-by-step through what you need to know and do before arriving on campus, and will guide you throughout your first term. In this course you will learn about the academic culture, degree requirements, course enrollment procedures, and the wide range of opportunities and resources available to you at SFU.
Summit First-Year Transition Program
Get a head start on your SFU experience! If you're starting at SFU this fall, coming straight from high school, and will not be living in residence, then this program might be for you. During Summit, you’ll make friends, get comfortable with academic expectations, and dive into extra-curricular opportunities that will set you up for success at university.
Join for one of the three summer weeks in July or August, and stay connected with socials and ongoing programming throughout Fall and Spring.
Join us for this informative orientation day which will help you start classes with confidence. The day will highlight the many resources available to you, introduce you to your faculty, help you find your way around campus and, of course, connect you to other new students.
If you have a confirmed room in residence, and/or you are an International student, there are additional orientation activities available for you.
