Undergraduate Visiting Research Students

Due to the continued impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic and Canadian and world wide travel advisories, the University has made the decision to suspend admission for Visiting Research Students (VRS) for Summer 2021 and until further notice.

Simon Fraser University is regularly ranked as one of the top comprehensive universities in Canada. We welcome undergraduate students from other universities who wish to visit in order to undertake research.

Visiting undergraduate research students at SFU will typically work under the supervision of a professor at Simon Fraser University. A typical visit would be for one term (4 months) but visits may be as brief as one month. SFU's terms begin in January, May and September (see academic dates).

For more information on applying to the Visiting Research Student Program (Undergraduate) for International students, please visit the dedicated page on the SFU Immigration Services website.

Note that admission to the program is suspended until further notice for all students, including International students. Please check back for updates.
