Thank you in advance for your assistance with maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all of our members and staff.  Please be reminded of the following important protocols:

  1. Stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, even mild ones.
  2. Wear a mask.  The University requires masks to be worn in all indoor common areas on SFU campuses. This includes indoor common areas of the Lorne Davies Complex and in the Fitness Centre.
  3. Practice physical distancing (2 metres) from others at all times.
  4. Wash or sanitize hands frequently.

SFU continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, with more information available at

Simon Fraser University, like all organizations, is required under Public Health Orders to ensure compliance with COVID-19 safety measures. All members of the SFU community are expected to comply with COVID-19 health and safety protocols. SFU Athletics and Recreation takes COVID-19 seriously and has zero-tolerance for violating health and safety rules. If individuals choose not to comply with safety protocols, they may be refused access to areas of our campus and/or additional disciplinary action may be taken.

Health Screening procedures are in effect upon facility access.

Upon arrival to the Lorne Davies Complex, a Check-in Attendant will facilitate a health screening questionnaire. This will include the following 4 questions and a temperature reading.  Please make sure to have valid SFU or Photo ID available when you arrive.

Members with a temperature reading of 38 degrees Celsius or higher will not be permitted to participate.

We ask that you please stay home if you answer "yes" to any of the health screening questions or if you have a fever.
