In this multi day program, participants learn the essentials of climbing in the gym. As this program instructs on skills that can be used in the future, it's perfect for introducing climbing as part of an active lifestyle.
Day 1: Safety Essentials- Participants learn how to put on a harness, tie a figure 8 follow through knot, belay (a term for holding the rope to keep a climber safe), check their system and communicate safely.
Day 2: Climbing -Participant skills are assessed and put to good use as they climb and belay together.
Day 3 and beyond (optional): Climbing Technique and Movement - Participants learn the basics of proper climbing technique as they continue to practice their safety essentials.
Each session is 2 hours. Suitable for ages 11 and up.
$40.00 per participant for 2 sessions. Additional sessions may be booked at a reduced rate.
