Interested in becoming a group fitness instructor or a weight trainer? We offer a variety of fitness leadership courses. All courses are approved by the British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA), and will count towards certifications granted by nationally sanctioned agencies.
Weight Training Module
Learn the basics to Weight Training. This course will teach you how to use the equipment, create a balanced program and the fundamentals for employment in a Fitness Centre.
Following this course you will be covered by insurance for 12 months, during which time you will complete the necessary steps to become registered. Failure to do so will require you to retake the course.

Pre-requisites: Bring copies of all prerequisites to the first class for verification.
- BCRPA registered - Fitness Leader Fitness Theory. (View BCRPA Information)
- Current CPR and (either of) Emergency First Aid or Standard First aid within 2 years
As we have a two business day cancellation policy when course minimum registration is not met, registering at least two business days prior to start of classes will better ensure that your course will take place as scheduled.
