Keep up your fitness and join the SFU Recreation community with our 6 weeks of free online workout classess! Five days a week, an SFU Recreation instructor will lead a virtual class through a variety of workouts - including yoga, bootcamp, and dance. Simply follow the links below to join us live, or click on a previous video to do a workout on your own!

 

MONDAY

Open Level Ballet

Instructor: Natasha  

11:30am-12:30pm

Ballet barre technique, stretching, and centre work in a small space. Beginners can follow along, and advanced dancers are welcome to scale up difficulty! Use a surface or piece of furniture between wrist and elbow height as your 'barre'.

Come have fun and get fit with Malcolm in this group-fitness style workout! All exercises are bodyweight so no equipment needed, and can easily be modified for your fitness level. Just bring yourself and some water and get ready for a great sweat!

TUESDAY

Hatha Yoga

11:30am - 12:30pm

An all levels Hatha yoga class that will give participants a change to stretch, strengthen and breathe. A great way to work at your own pace, lower stress levels and build core strength. Find full body relaxation and a clearer mind. All levels welcome!

WEDNESDAY

Yin & Yang Yoga

1:00pm-1:50pm

A sequence of energetic movements that blend into longer held poses and restorative postures. All levels welcome.

Bollywood Dance

 

 

Instructor: Hasini

6:00pm - 6:50pm

Bollywood-inspired cardio dance-fitness that combines dynamic choreography with the hottest music from around the world. Expect to have a lot of fun as you dance to the beats of amazing Bollywood songs and unleash your inner rockstar!

A fitness oriented all levels bellydance class offering a variety of focused exercises and choreography. Bellydance promotes flexibility, balance and core strength. A great way of staying healthy and inspired at home!
