SFU intramural leagues offer the opportunity to play organized sports on campus. Recreation student leaders supervise, schedule and administer a wide variety of sports in both competitive and recreational leagues.
Visit us on Facebook to view all the previous intramural champions.
Competitive leagues
A team fee is required to organize these exciting leagues, which include added benefits:
- Paid officials (except Volleyball and Dodgeball)
- Additional league managers
- Supplied equipment
- Detailed weekly standings
- Scheduled playoff format for qualifying teams
- League winners also earn Intramural Championship T-Shirts!
Recreational leagues
Recreational leagues are free to join, play is more relaxed and games are self-officiated. Weekly games are scheduled and supervised by the recreation sports student staff.
- The Rec Div 1 league is for players who are looking for friendly competition.
- The Rec Div 2 league is catered for beginners and does not include playoffs.
How to participate
Intramurals are available to anyone with a valid SFU Burnaby Recreation Membership. Day passes are not accepted in intramural leagues.
Typically beginners choose to participate in the recreational leagues, before joining the more experienced players in the competitive leagues.
