Community Advisor

Community Advisors (CA) are student staff who live in our Residence buildings and support residents in their University experience. Our CA team is a bunch of fun, hardworking students who are making a great step in their careers by building community and learning interpersonal and professional skills that will last them a lifetime. The CA role is one of the first steps into Residence Life and a great way to get deeply involved in the campus community. 

*Please note, we are hiring a small number of Community Advisors at this time. Many of these will be Designate Community Advisor roles who will go through training but likely not be a Community Advisor this fall. It is a great way to get one foot in the door to work with Residence Life!

Community  Space Monitor

Community Space Monitors (CSM) are our front desk attendants in Madge Hogarth House, the Community space in Residence. CSMs are responsible for keeping Madge safe, clean, and inclusive for all residents! As a CSM you will also put on one program in the semester and learn skills such as customer service, event planning, community building, and time management!

Vancouver Residence - Community Advisor

While the Vancouver Residence is only for Graduate Students, any year student can work as a Community Advisor in the Vancouver Residence! The AC also participates in a more intensive on-call schedule with the Residence Administrator and helps create creative programming for the Vancouver Residence.
