Study Abroad Returners Evening

International Services for Students is pleased to announce the annual Study Abroad Returners Evening for students who have returned from an SFU Study Abroad program.

This conference will help you maximize the benefits of your international experience personally, professionally and academically.

What's happening?

The conference workshops will cover the following topics:

  • Reflecting and making meaning of your time abroad
  • Transitioning back to home and school after living abroad
  • Marketing your international experience
  • Using your international experience for career planning

You will also be able to:

  • Connect with fellow returners of study abroad programs
  • Enter a door prize draw to win an SFU Bookstore Gift Card


Who can attend?

This event is open to all students (and recent grads) who have participated in an SFU Study Abroad program in the last year.

Register now! Please note registration for the event is mandatory. Please register by September 24, 2019.

Tips for the conference:

  • Pre-conference prep: Complete the Returning From Study Abroad 101 program in Canvas (optional) and reflect on what you've learned from your international experience, and what other opportunities you'd like to explore.
  • Bring a notepad and pen.
  • Food/drinks: Refreshments will be provided to attendees.
