Elective Grade System Exclusions and Exceptions

Specific courses or programs may be ineligible for the Elective Grade System.

Program Requirements are typically excluded, although some programs may allow you to use the Elective Grade System for certain program-specific requirements within the twelve (12) unit maximum, during the pilot period.

Listed below are courses, by faculty and program, that can be taken with P/CR/NC grades and still meet program requirements. In some cases, meeting program requirements is subject to obtaining a P. Some faculties have excluded all program requirements, meaning you must obtain a standard letter grade in these courses.
