Alumni Feature: Meet Paul Orazietti
SFU Degree(s): Bachelor of Business Administration - Major in Commerce, Minor in Economics
I was very lucky to have been hired by an advertising agency that I interned with at SFU when completing my degree. I have been an economic development officer with Business Improvement Associations for over 25 years, which gives me a direct hand in improving life in Cloverdale/Surrey.
What drew you to your area of study?
The love of business and promoting.
What is your favourite memory of your time at SFU?
Getting hired before I graduated and for my short stint as a disk jockey.
What is your personal takeaway from your time at SFU?
The undergraduate degree is a great start for building your skills, building friendships and becoming very active in your community.
What advice do you have for SFU students going through their degree?
Seek to deliver more than is expected. Take the time to appreciate the rapidly evolving times we live in and embrace change and knowledge.
