An infrastructure for openness

SFU is developing an infrastructure to support faculty members and instructors with an interest in open educational resources. In a recent interview, teaching librarian Hope Power discussed the move toward openness and the benefits she foresees. Read about her role and the upcoming "Adopting OER" workshop.

Techniques for presenting comfortably and confidently

Faculty members regularly speak in front of an audience, as do many staff members and graduate students. Quite a few have worked with Sanders Whiting, the TLC's teaching enhancement specialist for voice, who draws on his theatre and vocal training to help them feel at ease when they present. Find out what he tells them.

A short handbook of graphic design principles

Media designer Gabe Wong has produced an easy-to-digest introduction to graphic design for use in the Teaching and Learning Centre's EdMedia Program. The booklet is now available as a PDF document to anyone with an interest in the topic. Download your free copy.

Registration is open for all of these events.

Calling all graduate students
