Internet Tycoon an SFU Business Student
SFU Business student Milun Tesovic’s lyric-sharing website, MetroLyrics, won a 2008 Red Herring Top 50 award as one of Canada’s most innovative and promising companies. He also won an SFU Student Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Marketing Project an International Winner
What started off as a group assignment for Leyland Pitt’s marketing class gave a team of young SFU MBA students international recognition for applying what they’ve learned in the classroom to real world situations.
Finance Students Know the Right Stuff
Finance students showcased their risk-management and decision-making skills at an international investment-strategy forum, winning the Best Presentation award and finishing in the top 10 out of 50 schools.
International Best Paper Award
In 2008, SFU Business professor Blaize Horner Reich received the 2007 Best Paper award from the Project Management Journal. The paper explains how to anticipate and manage knowledge-based risks in IT projects.
