A municipal election event like no other
During the 2008 Vancouver election, Continuing Studies’ City program launched a new type of all-candidates debate, featuring every mayoral and council candidate.


The Vancouver Memory Festival
Continuing Studies’ writing and publishing program invited Vancouverites to write down their memories and experiences of downtown Vancouver. Their recollections were exhibited in the corridors and on the windows of Harbour Centre.


The Indie scene
The Canadian Academy of Independent Scholars (CAIS) held its inaugural symposium in 2008 at the Vancouver campus. CAIS is a Continuing Studies’ Interdisciplinary program that supports scholars working outside the university environment.


Breast cancer survivor attains academic goal
Neither chemotherapy and radiation treatment, nor mastectomy could stop Liana Zwick in her journey to receive a bachelor’s degree through Continuing Studies' liberal and business studies program.
