Rhodes Scholar sets sights on bettering the world
Health sciences undergraduate Sarah St. John was among BC’s newest Rhodes scholars in 2011. She’ll use the scholarship to pursue a master’s in public policy at Oxford University in 2012.

Fourth-year student Jessica Fan was selected in 2011 to join The Next 36, a year-old entrepreneurial leadership program that seeks out the country’s most promising undergraduate entrepreneurs and challenges them to create their own ventures.

Physics whiz wins 100k scholarship
Physics PhD student Michel Trottier-McDonald received a $105,000 Alexander Graham Bell Graduate Scholarship in 2011 from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to support his doctoral research in high-energy physics.
