National Philanthropy Day, observed annually on November 15, highlights the significance of charitable acts and its positive impact on our society.

Lara Akin, an SFU psychology professor, and Jason Proulx, a social psychology master’s candidate, have developed a project called Nurturing The Next Generation of Philanthropists. This project, partnered with researchers at the Harvard Business School and the Charitable Impact Foundation, aims to study how youth athletes and students respond to charity programs and what benefits they may gain from them.

SFU’s Jason Proulx is available to share his views on philanthropy and the importance of nurturing the next generation of philanthropists.
