The following SFU experts are available to discuss their work on HIV/AIDS research and provide commentary:

Robert Hogg, a professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences, is a senior scientist at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS and can speak to the health inequities among HIV-positive populations in Canada, specifically dealing with aging and life expectancy.

Ralph Pantophlet, a professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences, can speak to his research related to understanding antibody responses and antibody recognition of HIV-1, particularly those antibodies that can block infection from a broad range of HIV strains.

World AIDS Day, December 1st, is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness.
