A conversation between celebrated authors Hari Kunzru and Anosh Irani, in which they read from their novels and discuss their writing, travels, politics and influences. Moderated by Dr. Azadeh Yamini-Hamedani.

Speaker Bios

Hari Kunzru is the author of the novels The Impressionist, Transmission and My Revolutions. His work has been translated into twenty-one languages and won him prizes including the Somerset Maugham award, the Betty Trask Prize and a British Book Award. In 2003 Granta named him one of its twenty best young British novelists. He lives in New York City. 

Anosh Irani is the author of three novels including The Song of Kahunsha, which was a finalist for CBC Radio's Canada Reads and the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize, was published in thirteen countries, and was a bestseller in Canada and Italy. His play Bombay Black was a Dora Award winner for Outstanding New Play. Irani was nominated for the Governor General's Award for Drama for his anthology The Bombay Plays. He lives in Vancouver.
