Carbon Talks

Carbon Talks' goal is to advance Canadian global competitiveness by shifting to a low-carbon economy. We hold regular public dialogues and convene stakeholders towards climate solutions.

SFU Public Square

More than a single place or program, SFU Public Square assembles the hearts, minds and talents of diverse communities to promote inclusive, intelligent and inspiring dialogue. 

SFU Woodward's Cultural Programs

SFU Woodward's Cultural Programs vision is to enable and promote creativity and leading edge practices in the contemporary arts, supported by arts discourse. It supports professional arts activities through cultural partnerships, residencies, festivals and presentations. SFUW engages with the greater public by offering exceptional cultural experiences at Goldcorp Centre for the Arts.

The Institute for the Humanities

Explores critical perspectives relating social concerns to the cultural and historical legacy of the humanities. The Institute studies pressing contemporary problems and promotes greater interaction between the University and the community.

SFU's Vancity Office of Community Engagement supports public programming on themes such as social justice, sustainability and critical urbanism, arts and culture and democratic engagement through public talks, dialogues, workshops, events, performances and community partnerships.
