Engage with SFU Vancouver at C2U Expo 2017

This week, Simon Fraser University hosts C2UExpo For the Common Good: a conference showcasing university to community connections.

Running for six years with delegates from Canada and around the world the Expo is an amazing opportunity for students, academics and experts to address important social and environmental issues in Canada.

Three days of the conference are hosted at SFU’s Vancouver campus, so we’re excited to give you a sneak-peek at what to expect.

So what is C2U about?

C2U is about building community and learning through partnerships. The conference focuses on dialogue and interacting with many different people with many different perspectives on as many topics as possible.

Attendees will have the opportunity to chat with members of government, non-profit organizations, businesses, schools and citizens to find positive and effective strategies to effect change. Some of the workshop topics hosted at SFU Vancouver include:

  • Knowledge Sharing: Reflections on Creative Approaches:
    This discussion takes place May 3rd from 3-4PM.
  • Diverse Approaches to Social Justice
    This discussion takes place May 4th from 10:45AM-12PM.

  • Youth Engagement Perspectives
    This discussion takes place May 4th from 1:30-2:30PM.
