Biography

Yannick is a volcanologist specialised in physical volcanology and geochemistry of volcanic systems. During his doctoral research at Simon Fraser University and Université Clermont Auvergne (France), Yannick focused on the understanding of Canada’s deadliest volcanic eruption using a multidisciplinary approach (physical volcanology, geochemistry, and numerical modelling). His post-doctoral research will unravel the history and eruptive behaviour of a range of extinct, dormant, and active volcanic systems in Western Canada via field mapping, geochemical and rheological investigations.
