Faculty Relations Update

Dear colleagues, 

Two weeks ago, we shared with you information about a leadership change on the Faculty Relations team. Today, we are writing to update you on new personnel and interim measures to ensure you are supported as we take steps towards recruiting a new Executive Director for Faculty Relations.

On April 25th, Justin Mason joined the Faculty Relations team in the newly created position of Director, Faculty Labour Relations. Justin brings a wealth of legal and life experience, having worked with university exchange programs in Japan, immigration and refugee affairs in Thailand and Vietnam, and a variety of legal areas in U.S. state and federal governments. Most recently, Justin worked with the BC Ministry of the Attorney General in the Labour, Employment and Human Rights Law group.   • Please continue to contact your Faculty Relations Advisor as you normally would for all ongoing support.

  • The email will remain available and will be monitored. Emails will be forwarded for support/response to either the VPA or VP PEI office as appropriate.

In the interim, please continue to contact Wade in his capacity as Provost and Vice President Academic, pro tem as you normally would, and both of us for any overall leadership matters that need executive attention in terms of Faculty Relations.
