New Faculty Start-Up Grants (NFSU)

• New continuing tenure track appointments commencing prior to September 1, 2007 will be governed by the old New Faculty Start-up Grant policy in effect at the time of their appointment.

However, for those hired after April 1, 2007, reimbursement for eligible expeditures for NFSU grants will be governed by the appropriate tri-council granting agency rules. Please refer to the President's Research Start-up Grant policy document for a copy of the expenditure guidelines.

• New Faculty Start-up Grants that commenced in fiscals, 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07 can be extended for a period of three years from the start date of the individual.

• Faculty members wishing to extend their NFSU grant should contact their respective Dean’s office via email indicating the reasons for the extensions.
