On September 20th in Waterloo, Ontario, the Engendering Success in STEM (ESS) Consortium will hold a collaborative knowledge sharing event entitled “Excellence and Gender Equity in Science and Technology (EGEST).

The ESS Consortium (SuccessinSTEM.ca) is a unique partnership between research scientists in social, developmental, and organizational psychology along with academics in philosophy, engineering, and computer science, working in collaboration with partners in education and industry, to develop evidence-based practices for promoting gender inclusion in STEM.

They’re thrilled to offer an exciting day with the following invited speakers presenting on the development of implicit gender bias, implicit bias in organizations, reduction of implicit gender bias, importance of gender diversity, and fostering belonging in STEM.

In addition to these invited addresses, they will feature two panel discussions and a poster session. The day will conclude with a reception for all participants and attendees of the conference.
