Geering Up camps are all about making Science, Technology and Engineering hands on and exciting. Each day is a dynamic mix of hands on activities, demonstrations, mentors, and design challenges.

Online camps will run Monday to Friday of each week (excluding statutory holidays) from June 29th to September 4th. Each day of camp will be a live 2-hour session led by 2 undergraduate students who will guide participants through a lesson, activity, and community time. In addition, participants will receive an optional home project that will encourage them to apply the skills learned that day in an individual setting. 

To deliver interactive online camps this summer, Geering Up will use UBC’s online video conferencing tool, Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. The week before the first day of your camp, you will receive an email that includes a personalized link to access the online platform. Additionally, 1 week before the program we will be sending out boxes of materials that will be required to participate*

*Coding based camps do not need supplies outside of a laptop/computer and won’t be sent a box of materials
