Nerd Nite is an all-volunteer community outreach for adults who yearn to learn more about all the amazing discoveries being made in science every day and is taking over North Vancouver!

Their speakers deliver 15 minute "TED Talks" on complex subjects in language anyone can understand. They do it in a fun, bar-style environment with lots of beer and as much comedy as their Nerds can deliver! Speakers always do a round of questions afterward.

This month, come see Science Cartoonist (or "Scientoonist") Armin Mortazavi talk about how anxiety affected his artistic career.

Listen to UBC Astronomer Christa Van Laerhoven talk Kuiper Belt Objects.

Join WWEST partner David Ng from the Advanced Molecular Biology Laboratory at UBC as he talks about Public Understanding of Science.
