The challenge to the artist in creating large-scale pieces is making the work visually comprehensible from distances of up to 100 feet, much greater than what would be faced in most commercial galleries. The art show banners displayed here were prepared for shows on Mayne Island; the liturgical banners were displayed at churches on Vancouver's North Shore.
