Course Requirements:
1.  Tutorial participation (10%)
Your marks for this will be based on a combination of attendance, participation, and low-stakes writing assignments.

2.  Ground Zero Project
This is an ungraded writing assignment which will be due Thursday of the first week of lecture.  Although not graded, you must complete this assignment to pass the course.

2.  3 writing assignments (15%, 20%, 25%)
You will not be expected to do outside research for any of the papers.  Extensions will be granted only under extenuating circumstances.  Requests for extensions should be made in person (not by phone or email), except where this is impossible.

3.  Final exam (30%)
The final exam will be cumulative, meaning it will cover all assigned reading and all topics covered in lecture.
