Cassette Tape Selection   

For making quality recordings metal tape will give the best results, followed by chrome tapes. Standard low bias tape will most likely be too noisy for most applications demanding any fidelity and absence of noise.
 
Its best to avoid the longer format tapes such as
C-100, C-120, and longer.

Compromises in tape thickness have to be made to accomodate such long tape lengths which makes them more susceptible to problems such as stretching and drop out.
