Multitrack recording overview

Multitrack recording is the process of building up a complex sound construction using microphones connected to a mixer which is feeding a multitrack recorder.

Each track represents a different instrument or sound and these tracks are mixed together to make a final mono, stereo, or multi-channel mix.
