in class work digital shooting/scanning/printing in four groups

cameras
- Set up a scene/still
life and
- With Nikon D 70
and Coolpix (pages don't apply to Coolpix manual. Some functions may
not be possible on Coolpix)
- -check image quality
and size (keep on fine and large) using the menu (with the "camera"
icon) on the monitor screen on the back of the camera.
- -choose flash off:
means you have to shoot in A,S, or M mode (you might have to switch
the metering pattern...talk to me if the flash keeps popping up.)
- -take a correctly
exposed shot in A, S and M modes (no flash) (see p. 79 to 82 of manual)
- -take shots which
shows different depth of field/selective focus, blur (you will likely
have to shoot in manual focus, see p. 62 of manual)
- -take the same
shot at different ISO's (range of three) p. 46 of manual
- -select different
playback views by pressing the little "checkerboard" button
on the back of the camera. Use the "multiselector" (round
toggle with arrows) to view a histogram, highlights, and image information.
- -take some shots
of a moving subject in "continuous mode" (p. 62 of manual)
- -also see p. 36,
37 for troubleshooting and p. 38 for the most effective order of operations/choosing
settings
- -extra: change
metering mode and use flash as a "fill" in an already well
lit situation. see p. 97
Printing Group
- Open Epson print
monitor on G4 (or other computer if availalble)
- check ink level
etc.
- Open an image in
photoshop select a test strip, make a new file,
- print test
Scanning Group
- Use Epson "perfection"
4870 scanner to scan in some negatives.
Invert to positives.
