CMPT 885: SPECIAL TOPICS: COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
FINAL PROJECT GRADING POLICY
You will have one presentation and one demo during the trimester.
Class presentation carries 15% of your final grade.
Project demo carries 15% of your final grade.
Final project report carries 55% of your final grade.
CLASS PRESENTATION:
Grading: 15% of the final grade.
1. Introduction to the project: motivation and overview.
2. Overview of related work.
3. Problem description: technical details.
4. Implementation: simulation, prototype, results and analysis (even if not completed).
5. Organization and time management.
PROJECT DEMO:
Grading: 15% of the final grade.
1. Description of the project: use maximum 5 online slides.
2. Implementation details: ns-2 and Opnet.
3. Design and code development: ns-2 and Opnet.
4. Simulation results and analysis.
5. Organization and time management.
FINAL PROJECT REPORT:
Grading: 55% of the final grade.
Choice and difficulty of the project: 10%
Implementation of the project (developed code, models, algorithms): 30%
Written project reports: 15%
    (In addition to a LaTEX or MS Word document,
please submit the PDF version and a hard copy of your final report.)
Note:
More credit will be given for completed projects
(even if they are less difficult) than to the ambitious unfinished work.
In case of team work, we will make every attempt to evaluate
individual performance of each team member.
