ENSC 835: COMMUNICATION NETWORKS

Assignment #5:

Read:
  • Kurose and Ross: Chapter 3: Transport Layer.
  • Walrand and Varaiya: Chapter 3: Packet-Switched Networks.
  • Walrand and Varaiya: Chapter 4: The Internet and TCP/IP Networks.

  • Begin collecting the references for your project (either a hard copy or electronic version). Submit the list of five references for your project. Please include the project title, names and email addresses of team members, and the abstract of your project.
  • Please email the team number, names and email addresses of team members, working title, abstract, and the list of references using the plain ASCII format (text) to ljilja at cs.sfu.ca.

  • Continue working with the OPNET Tutorials.

  • Submit OPNET printouts illustrating each step of the Packet Switching II, CSMA/CD, and Troubleshooting OPNET Tutorials.
    Briefly describe the main steps.
    Include time-stamps on the printouts.
    Limit your submission to eight pages: the cover page plus seven typed pages. The cover page should only include course title (ENSC 835: COMMUNICATION NETWORKS), term (Spring 2011), your full name (last name, first name), and your SFU email address. Double-sided printouts are encouraged.
