Assignment #8:

Complete reading:
  • Kurose and Ross: Chapter 4: The Network Layer.
  • Walrand and Varaiya: Chapter 4: The Internet and TCP/IP Networks.

  • Web page describing your project, five references (copies of papers, texts, web pages), and one interim report are due on Sunday, March 13, 2011 (midnight: 11:59 PM + 1 minute).
        Read: Instructions for writing ENSC 835 final project reports.

  • Continue working on the ns-2 Tutorials:
        V. Making it more interesting
        VI. Network dynamics
        VII. A new protocol for ns
        VIII. Creating Output Files for Xgraph

  • Submit printouts illustrating each step of the ns-2 tutorial.
    Briefly describe the main steps.
    Include time-stamps on the printouts.
    Limit your submission to seven pages: the cover page plus six typed pages. The cover page should only include course title (ENSC 835: COMMUNICATION NETWORKS), term (Spring 2011), your full name (last name, first name), your SFU ID, and your SFU email address. Double-sided printouts are encouraged.
