Conclusions
EAC is capable of providing certain levels of QoS to the network:
- it can achieve a pre-defined packet loss probability for a flow.
With in-band EAC, a close relationship between the maximum data loss and the defined threshold can be maintained.
Using long probing periods may lead to more accurate predication.
Out-of-band EAC can provide better QoS with respect to data loss.
To achieve better performance results, choose with care threshold values and the duration of probing periods.
