Motivation
Periodic steady-state analysis is critical for simulation of RF ICs.
Steady-state is achieved after long transient periods
Accelerated steady-state methods:
- Newton shooting method: time domain (convergence problems, good initial starting point needed)
- Harmonic-balance method: frequency domain (convergence problems)
Homotopy methods are robust and accurate.
