- Designed to check each feature is operational
- Strict priority scheduling pre-emption features where checked in these simulations.
Performance simulations
- Designed to check how well the two weighted scheduling algorithms distributed bandwidth between the 4 classes of service.
- Each active class of service macro-queue always had available traffic (worst case condition).
- 16 simulations were performed in 1 Gbps mode
- 14 simulations were performed in 100 Mbps mode
- Simulation suites were run using both weighted fair and weighted priority scheduling.
