VirtualClock vs. Priority Queuing
- PQ queue allocation for applications:
- FTP: high priority
- IP telephony: normal priority
- Videoconferencing: medium priority
- HTTP: low priority.
- Entire bandwidth is assigned to FTP. Thus, PQ provides very low average download response time compared to VirtualClock.
- HTTP application does not get serviced.
