Research Interests
My research focuses on computational statistics and statistical machine learning. My favourite applications come from important scientific questions raised in genetics, biology, public health, and environmetrics. I'm interested in tackling the computational issues in complex statistical models applied to large-scale data. Particularly, I am interested in Monte Carlo methods such as Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC), sequential Monte Carlo (SMC), and combinations of MCMC and SMC. I am also interested in Functional Data Analysis and estimating parameters in differential equations.
