1. Comment on the following statement. Give an example to support your argument.

            ¡°When there is no charge in the interior of a conductor (r=0), E must be zero because, according to Gauss¡¯ law, the total outward electric flux through any closed surface constructed inside the conductor must vanish.¡± ¨C (Cheng, page 101).

 

2. Determine the electric potential and electric field intensity of an electric dipole at rest.  That is, derive equations (3-53b) and (3-26).

 

3. Determine the magnetic vector potential and the magnetic flux density of a magnetic dipole.  Namely, derive equations (6-45) and (6-48).
