Re: Wind Mobile now works on SFU Burnaby: real world experiences?

Wind is a fantastic deal (especially if you travel - the lowest roaming charges of any company by a factor of ten or more).   At the moment, every member of the family has a Wind phone.  Total cost for four phones: $140/month with unlimitted voice, data, text and long distance in North America, voicemail, Caller ID, etc.  And that 20 cents/minute roaming.  So I've used it for years even though coverage on campus was very bad (You could only get signal outside or on the top floor of a  building, facing the right way, etc....)

The coverage on campus now seems very good.  I have yet to go to a part of campus where it does not work (admittedly, I have not been to every part yet).

I noted after years of showing SFU Burnaby one of the few places
missing from their coverage map that Wind Mobile now just added it.
Wind is a competitor to the big 3 wireless phone companies with a
different plan style - unlimited everything ( voice/text/data) for ~
$30 in their areas with no contracts. Not selling them - just like no
contract options and real competition in the market for us all.. Might
be useful to hear from those that have a Wind phone if the coverage is
solid everywhere (voice/ data) on the Burnaby Campus.
