I am writing to ask if you would like to add your signature to an open letter drafted by a group
of us. Addressed to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Dr. Theresa Tam,
we are asking for Canada to heed the WHO’s call to pause booster shots for low-risk people in rich countries until more people in developing countries have got their first shot, and
generally to take a more aggressive stance towards ending the Covid pandemic outside our borders.
This letter seeks to coordinate academics, scientists, doctors, the global health community, policy analysts and social activists in Canada who share these views. It will be shared publicly early next week.
We are hoping to mobilize as strong a response as possible.
If you agree with the letter and would like to add your name to endorse this statement, please do so by Saturday
Sept. 4th.
